At various times it has been the royal country retreat of Marguerite de Valois, in 1606, a country residence for monks, and a retirement home for the priests of Saint-Sulpice. The walls of our mansion, listed as a historical monument since 1996, have seen distinguished figures of French history, such as writers Bossuet, F\u00e9nelon and Ernest Renan, come here to reflect and regenerate.<\/p>\n

Our grounds also invite you to a timeless interlude. The vegetable garden, orchard and pathways have been restored according to the original layout of the 17th century gardens, and include a number of plants from that period. Nature has a special place in the life of our estate. In every season, our heritage vegetables, flowers and aromatic herbs find their way from the garden into your dishes or cocktails, where the botanical becomes a source of culinary delight.<\/p>\n
